The focus for the improvement event was the sample flow between Serology and Biochemistry department. Samples handed over to Biochemistry do not all come back, or the analyser has breakdowns and Serology team are not informed. The workshop improved workflow and process resilience as well as optimising the layout.

Radiology Department RIE

After the first contact with the Radiology Department, it was observed that the patient delays in the service was a problem. The management of the exam is done by perception, and scheduling can be a challenge. 35% of exams are unscheduled.

The workshop improved the visual management and patient flow. It created a system to present clinical information to the radiology team in a timely fashion.
